Recalling London Zoo's Lijagupard - The Subject of a (very) Crossbred Controversy - Shuker Nature

Back in the days when it was fashionable to kidnap creatures from their natural habitats and display them to humans, a big cat thought to be an unknown species was exhibited, but it turned out to be only "the complex product of genetic intermingling." Less easy to explain is The Glow-in-the-dark Werewolf... maybe, which in 1913 allegedly bit a police officer and kept the fearful residents of The Bronx indoors for many nights. (LP)
