"No Return"--UFOs, Government Mind-Control, or AWOL? - Mysterious Universe

Two little-known and mysterious cases from the past. In the first case, Nick Redfern reviews a new book from our own Anomalist Books, No Return: The Gerry Irwin Story, UFO Abduction or Covert Operation? by David Booher. Something very strange happened to a young soldier coming back from leave one Utah evening in the late 1950s. Author Booher has, says Nick, described a major mystery in a research process that is itself now part of the story. Jacques Vallee thought enough of the book and its crafting to write the foreword. Over at the new blog The Saucers That Time Forgot, Curt Collins has posted 1946, Before Saucers, Kareeta: UFO Contact in California. It's a fascinating quick take on an October sighting that experts said was a misidentification of a comet. However, ufologist/parapsychologist Meade Layne contended that it was a space ship from an etheric planet--this learned through telepathic communication with its owners. The article discusses the influence that Layne would have on ufology in its early days and again in the present. (WM)
